 Reliable set of green to glossy red fruits in short seasons.


Improved for a higher percentage of blocky, thick-walled, early ripening peppers each with three to four lobes. Known for its ability to produce good sized peppers in short, cool seasons. Strong plants support heavy yields.

Pepperoncini

Italian heirloom that produces a 3-5" peppers with just a touch of heat.


Bushy, small plants provide excellent sun-scald protection and tons of sweet fruit. Peppers are yellow and then turn to red as the sweet flavor intensifies.

Excellent pickled or raw.

Long Thin Cayenne

Prolific yields of flavorful blunt fruits with distinctive jalapeno flavor.


Small, moderately spicy fruits with thick walls are traditionally harvested dark green but can be allowed to ripen to red. A classic eaten fresh or pickled with Mexican dishes! Compact plants are sturdy and work well in containers.

Sweet Pickle

Compact, bushy, plants reach 15" tall and are covered with clusters on 2 inch long fruits, held upright on plant.


Great in pots or garden. Fruit color (through maturity) yellow to orange to red to purple. Sweet thick walls, perfect for pickles or salad use. Excellent fresh as well as pickled. Seeds are not bitter.

Hungarian Hot Wax

Johnny Selected Seeds is proud to release a newly selected strain, which features an upright plant and uniform fruits. The greatly improved plant architecture offers better fruit protection and faster/easier harvests with minimal fruit damage! Smooth, tapered, and moderately spicy fruits avg. 5 1/2" x 1 1/2" and mature from pale yellow to orange red, and finally, to a vibrant red. Excellent for frying, roasting, or pickling.
