In the Nursery

Heath's bare-root nursery stock is sourced and shipped from Bailey Nurseries, located in St Paul, MN and then potted and grown at Heath's nursery using OMRI listed products (Organic Materials Review Institute) and NO pesticide sprays. Heath's practice integrated pest management. IPM is an ecosystem-based strategy that focuses on long-term prevention of pests or their damage through a combination of techniques such as biological control (including beneficial insects). 

Heath's 2nd year (to us) stock is certified organic and 1st yr (to us) is in transition, to be qualified for certification the following year.

Heath's grow multiple varieties of hardy fruit trees, bushes and vines, such as apple, plum, cherry, pear and peach. Blueberry bushes, raspberry, grape vines, black currant and jostaberry. Also, flowering trees & bushes, as well as evergreen shrubs.
